Yorgo Glynatsis, CEO & founder of House of Glynatsis Productions, is a Belgian, Greek and Italian emerging film director, writer, producer, actor based in London. Yorgo started his artistic journey at 14 years old acting in theatres in Belgium where he was born.
Aspiring for an international career, he moved to London in 2014 and joined the cast of the immersive project The Den created by the BAFTA-winning director Gbemisola Ikumelo. Following that, he starred in several short and feature films.
His passion for filmmaking started in 2020 when he wrote scenes for his own acting showreel. Lacking authentic on screen representation and a desire of using his voice to raise awareness about a past traumatic event, he created the award winning and critically acclaimed short film TRIGGER, mentored by Taz Skylar( Netflix One Piece, BBC Boiling Point). The film was nominated in British and International film festivals and won the award for Best International Short Film at the Fuse International Film Festival in Kingston ( UK). TRIGGER is distributed worldwide by Gonella Productions and is available on Gay Binge TV and on Amazon Prime UK and US as part of "These Untold Secrets'', a compilation of 5 powerful and impactful LGBTQAI+ short films.
Furthermore, he also co-directed and co-produced the award winning LGBTQIA+ short docuseries, Well Proud, for Metro charity ( UK), which won the award for Best Short Documentary at The South London Film Festival and was nominated at the Bafta Qualifying Iris Prize Film Festival in Cardiff ( Wales/UK). The film was also nominated at the Charity Film Awards (UK).
In 2023, Yorgo Glynatsis directed and co-produced the Trans/Queer British Greek Cypriot short film, Koupepia, starring Olivier nominated actor Peter Polycarpou, trans actor, writer Sophia Vi, internet sensation Alexander Theo and Channel 4 Screw actor Nathan Vaughan-Harris. He also co-directed and co-produced the critically acclaimed short film Unravel with first time filmmaker Maxime Bonett. Both films will hit worldwide festivals in 2024.
Glynatsis is currently in development of his debut feature film and appears in the webseries Inquisitors, the feature film The Adopters and the award winning and critically acclaimed feature film Remi Milligan: Lost Director directed by Sam Lodato.
