Great film festival! Great insight from some talented people and real reviews from professionals in the industry. I highly recommend that high-school and college students apply. Honored that my film “1986” won an honorable mention!

Lev! Not only was 1986 awesome, but there was also another film, Monster Boars VIII, that some of our staff is dying to see the first seven of! Hilarious.

  • Very fun festival for college students! It was great they had an online screening as well for the one's that couldn't make it in person! Thank you for officially selecting my film, "Tail Lights!"

Lauren! We loved your film, Tail Lights, if I remember correctly it was a one-shot film - so hard to do! Keep making films! We need more filmmakers like you who are willing to take risks and push the bounds!

  • Hosted by awesome people and really great communication all the way through!

    Matej,
Thank you for the review! Sorry our internet crapped out at the end! We look forward to having you back next time!

  • This was a great time. Usually I can't really rate or review the festivals I get accepted into because they're either hidden behind a pay wall or they're held in person in a place I'm not able to visit, so this was such a wonderful surprise in that not only was I able to attend virtually, but I got to have some interaction with the people running the whole thing as well. There were some things I'd personally change next time, with the presentations running a bit long, and some of the shorts on the livestream being a bit hurt by bad internet, but the host always handled things with grace and made sure that everyone got their chance to shine. Highly recommend submitting for anyone interested, as I didn't think I'd even get accepted and I ended up walking away with my first film festival award! Thanks everybody at YellowHammer and I can't wait to submit again next year!
