Yashin Phillips also known as "Inchworm" is a Host, Film Director, Community Developer, and Humanitarian.
The nickname "Inchworm" was given to Yashin by her great grandmother who said, every time she would dance or twerk she wiggled just like an Inchworm.
She was raised in Evanston, and Zion IL. Earning her Bachelor's Degree at Northeastern Illinois University in Communication, Media, and Theatre. "Inchworm" decided to utilize her skills and "wiggle" her way into entrepreneurship by founding Inchworm Entertainment LLC in 2017.
Yashin earned her Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and Media Studies at Northeastern Illinois University. Her college experience, genuine love for Talk Shows and Film inspired her to start her own journey.
“Inchworm” believes ignorance can be solved through interaction. With positivity being her driving force she interviews people in the community on YouTube, Facebook, and creates films to achieve her mission.
With her platform “The Inchworm Show” she has interviewed a range of politicians, musicians, and everyday people about local community issues and life experiences.
She has dedicated her filmmaking career on telling real stories about African American girls and Women. She has completed two short films “No More” centered around colorism and “Lost N Found” focusing on Sex Trafficking.
"Inchworm’s" humanitarian work was uprooted from witnessing the injustices within the African American Community. She prides herself on uplifting her community through her work. She spearheaded several Lake County community involvements such as the Just Do It_Vote Coalition and fundraisers for Domestic Violence A Safe Place.
