Y-40 FILM FESTIVAL is an international underwater contest open to all audiovisual, cinematographic, television and web productions, documentary, fiction, animation, traditional or experimental works.
The competition is also aimed at works created by independent productions, shot underwater in any environment, from the sea to lakes, from rivers to swimming pools, to encourage meetings and collaboration between creatives and operators in the sector.

The first three winners will be awarded.

The 3rd and 2nd place will receive material by the sponsors, while the 1st place will be rewarded with a day of production in Y-40 Studios with setting up of the film set worth 10,000 euros.

This prize may not be transferred or sold to third parties.

The first classified in each category will receive material from the sponsors.

Participation is open to all the directors, film-makers and video-makers.
The call is open to short films lasting less than 10 minutes, including titles. The short films must be horizontal and shot underwater for at least 30% of the duration.
Short films that do not comply with the aforementioned characteristics will be disqualified.

SECTIONS
All works shot underwater and produced between 2018 and 2026 can compete in multiple categories:
1-DOCUMENTARIES / EDUCATIONAL: Chronicles and documented research.
2-ARTISTIC SHORTS: Emotional videos without commercial purpose.
3-COMMERCIAL VIDEOS: Advertisements or music clips.
4-NEW! REEL: Vertical videos shorter than 60″ in social network mode

SELECTION
10 shorts will be selected by the Jury.
Furthermore, 5 shorts from the REEL category will be selected through social voting to compete in the final.
The selected videos will be published on the social networks owned by Y-40 The Deep Joy and screened in Y-40 during the awards ceremony open to the public.
The selected videos will obtain the "Official Selection Y-40 Film Festival" crown.

TECHNICAL JURY
The Technical Jury is made up of experts from the world of videomaking, underwater directors, artistic producers, experts from the world of communication, art and entrepreneurship, and has the specific task of establishing, in compliance with this Regulation, the admissibility or less to the Prize of the proposed works. Works that have received other awards may also be chosen.
Acceptance to be part of the Jury entails implicit acceptance of these Regulations.
