The Women’s Film Festival San Diego strives to educate and inspire future generations about the experiences and contributions of women through the art of film. The festival is a multi-day event that is entertaining, informative and provides audiences with the opportunity to learn about the important topics that affect and inspire women. WFFSD is dedicated to supporting women filmmakers and giving them n opportunity to showcase their work.

During the event, we host women filmmaker networking opportunities, student workshops, and panel discussions on the state of women in the film industry. Past films screened at the Festival include RBG, I Am Jane Doe, Different Flowers, and Badass Beauty Queen.

Rules & Terms

Films must NOT have screened in another FILM FESTIVAL IN SAN DIEGO.

All non-English films must have English sub-titles.

All films must be submitted via online screener.

Please do NOT send stills or press kits. If your film is selected we will ask you to email us a still image at that time.

You may enter more than one film, but you must complete a separate entry form and pay an entry fee for each film.

Selection
Film selection for the festival will be made by the Festival Committee.
The selected filmmakers will be responsible for all shipping fees.
All filmmakers will be notified via email of acceptance.

By agreeing to these terms, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agreed to the regulations of the Women's Film Festival San Diego and that, to the best of your knowledge, the information that you have supplied is correct.

    The staff at The Women's Film Festival San Diego was incredibly phenomenal with communication. They hosted a really fantastic festival even in the midst of a pandemic. I'm am incredibly grateful to have been a part of the festival. The are a true champion of female centric films.
