Wild Commons is not a festival. It is a platform for distribution that seeks to strengthen connections to nature through cinematic storytelling about science, wildlife, and conservation. Each month, 1-4 films will be selected to be featured on the Wild Commons YouTube channel.
Our YouTube channel features short and feature-length documentary films from independent filmmakers around the world — expanding access to powerful stories about our planet and the people protecting it. Through a profit-sharing model, creators keep 75% of their revenue while benefiting from collective promotion, distribution, and community support.
Submit only films that are complete and ready to release on YouTube. The channel is designed to be the place where high quality wildlife, conservation and science films land after a successful festival run and a robust community screening campaign. When you've reached the point in your distribution process where you're ready to make your film widely accessible to almost everyone in the world, you're ready to submit to Wild Commons.
