Wild Commons is not a festival. It is a platform for distribution that seeks to strengthen connections to nature through cinematic storytelling about science, wildlife, and conservation. Each month, 1-4 films will be selected to be featured on the Wild Commons YouTube channel.

Our YouTube channel features short and feature-length documentary films from independent filmmakers around the world — expanding access to powerful stories about our planet and the people protecting it. Through a profit-sharing model, creators keep 75% of their revenue while benefiting from collective promotion, distribution, and community support.

Submit only films that are complete and ready to release on YouTube. The channel is designed to be the place where high quality wildlife, conservation and science films land after a successful festival run and a robust community screening campaign. When you've reached the point in your distribution process where you're ready to make your film widely accessible to almost everyone in the world, you're ready to submit to Wild Commons.

Selection decisions are final and at the sole discretion of the Wild Commons team. Submission constitutes acceptance of the following requirements:

REQUIREMENTS:

Intellectual Rights
You must hold full rights to your film, including script, performances, music and all underlying materials.

Music Licensing
All music must be licensed for global digital use and monetization. Proof of licensing may be requested.

Signature Presentation
The Wild Commons signature appears at opening and close.

Opening Titles
Opening logos and credits must be removed or placed at the end, unless contractually required.

Platform Eligibility
Films must comply with YouTube's content guidelines. Restricted content must be re-cut to remain eligible.

Feature Duration
Selected films are featured for three months.

Availability & Archiving
Removal may be requested at any time. Wild Commons reserves the right to remove or relocate films without notice.

Distinction
Each selected film receives an editorial spotlight and one credited outbound link.
