Weijia Zhou is a female filmmaker who was born and raised in Wuhan, China. She is currently studying filmmaking at Columbia Chicago College. Weijia is passionate about portraying the beauty and complexity of the world through a distinctly female perspective. Her goal is to continue pushing boundaries and exploring different ways of using film as a means of empowerment and change.

Weijia's directorial debut, Away (2020,Short), has already gained recognition from several renowned worldwirde festivals, including the Oscar-qualifying festival, InterBerlin.
