The Wasatch Picture Show is an annual showcase celebrating the creative community of Salt Lake City. Join us for an evening of film, photo, and music highlighting the work being produced these days here in Utah.
Eligibility
Filmmakers must be from Utah.
Films must have been completed no earlier than two years prior to the submission deadline.
All genres and formats are accepted, provided they meet the technical specifications listed below.
Technical Specifications
Films should be submitted in digital format, preferably in 4K resolution.
Accepted formats: MP4, MOV, or AVI.
Film length must not exceed 45 minutes, including credits.
Submission Process
- All submissions must be made through our FilmFreeway page
- A completed submission form must accompany each entry.
- A non-refundable submission fee is required for each film if a fee is charged
Selection and Notification
- Filmmakers will be notified of their acceptance status via email.
- Selected films may be screened more than once during the festival.
- All decisions made by the selection committee are final and cannot be appealed.
Intellectual Property & Rights
- The filmmaker assures that they have obtained all necessary rights and permissions to present the film and music at The Wasatch Picture Show.
- The Wasatch Picture Show will not be responsible for any legal disputes regarding the exhibition of the film.
Liability Release
By submitting a film to The Wasatch Picture Show, the filmmaker agrees to release and hold harmless The Wasatch Picture Show, its organizers, judges, sponsors, and partners, individually and collectively, from all liabilities, claims, demands, and causes of action which they, their heirs, representatives, executors, administrators, or any other persons acting on their behalf or on behalf of their estate have or may have in connection with any participation in The Wasatch Picture Show.
Publicity & Promotion
Filmmakers grant The Wasatch Picture Show the right to use stills, titles, trailers, and/or excerpts from the submitted film for promotional purposes.
Amendments
- The Wasatch Picture Show reserves the right to update these rules and regulations at any time.
- Filmmakers are responsible for regularly reviewing posted terms.
By submitting your film to The Wasatch Picture Show, you acknowledge and agree to abide by these Rules and Regulations for submission and participation.
