Deborah Blum, an artist and educator, began exploring her family’s legacy after teaching at Nairobi's Rudolf Steiner School, ultimately leading her to create a documentary about her ancestor, Carl Laemmle. Born in Germany and raised in Santa Monica, California, Blum’s early exposure to film came through her family’s Laemmle Theaters. She holds a B.A. degree in English from UCLA, studied painting and photography at RISD, and currently directs 7811 Gallery in Los Angeles. She enjoys historical research and documentary storytelling that builds bridges and fosters understanding.
Warren Blum is a West Hollywood native and multi-talented artist, skilled as a composer, filmmaker, sound technician, editor, and storyteller. A graduate of Sonoma State College and Loyola Law School, he initially practiced law, specializing in 1031 Exchanges. Warren made several short films and scored several others, including Donald and Dot Clock (Dances with Films, 2002.)
