A festival for students, by students, Wallabout is curated annually by an interdisciplinary group of Pratt Institute students, and showcases student short filmmaking from around the world.

Awards are announced in different categories each year, but typically include Best Overall Film, Best Concept, and an Audience Award. There are no cash prizes.

-Filmmaker MUST be a student or a recent college graduate (within one year). As a student organization, Wallabout's goal is to promote student films. High school, undergraduate and graduate works are all eligible for consideration. Recent graduates (within one year) are encouraged to submit as well.

-Filmmaker must indicate what school s/he is attending (or recently graduated from) when submitting to Wallabout.

-Since Wallabout is organized by Pratt Institute students, submissions by Pratt students are encouraged and free of charge. Email wallaboutff@gmail.com to request your waiver code.

-Film must have been completed after January 2017.

-Wallabout will only consider short films.

-To submit, please provide a link and password via FilmFreeway. We do not accept DVD submissions.

-Note: If your film is selected to screen, Wallabout must have access to a .mov file of your film in order to project it properly.

-Note: Films longer than 15 minutes are discouraged. We have limited space and want to showcase a broad range of work by as many filmmakers as possible.

-Foreign films are highly encouraged. If your film is not in English, it must have English subtitles and be submitted in NTSC format.

-Filmmakers may submit multiple films, but each entry should be submitted separately.

-Wallabout is open to all genres, themes, and categories.
