Calling all northeast region filmmakers!

WRIF (White River Indie Films) is now accepting submissions for our 2023 in-person festival, hosted at the Briggs Opera House in White River Junction, VT, March 23-26.

In the spirit of fostering connections between local, emerging filmmakers and more established filmmakers, selected shorts will be screened before feature films playing at WRIF. Selected filmmakers will be notified of screening date/time prior to the festival in hopes that you can attend! Three emerging filmmakers will also be awarded with cash prizes.

1. All self-identifying “emerging filmmakers” who are residents of VT, NH, Maine and Québec are eligible to submit. We strongly believe it’s never too late to pursue an artistic passion, so in an effort to be inclusive of any and all brave enough to embark on their filmmaking journeys, regardless of age, we have eliminated the 18-30 requirement. Rather, to be eligible for this contest, filmmakers must not have screened the submitted work previously at other festivals and are committing to a filmmaking path.

2. Film must be UNDER 15 minutes

Very good communication, selection, and panel events. It was an honor for "Clear as Crystal" to be included.
