While battling the ailing independent film appreciation among the wider public, and supporting to celebrate the work of women filmmakers, was born Pakistan’s home-grown Women International Film Festival (WIFF), hosted by Women Through Film.

WIFF’2025 is going to be held in February 2025, showing some of the most resonant and thought-provoking feature films received by female independent filmmakers from around the world.

5. In the event that your content is found to be plagiarized, your film will be removed from the festival, and your name will be blacklisted making you ineligible to submit any films in the upcoming WIFFs.

It was a great honor for our film ‘Bird Woman’ to be selected for the Women International film festival (WIFF)! It was also our first time at a women's film festival, so we were very excited.

I deeply regret having to write this review, as I have never experienced such a disappointment before. Initially, I received an email confirming the selection of my film, followed by completing a film consent form and receiving the official selection laurel. Furthermore, I was in contact with the Embassy of my country in Pakistan, who expressed interest in attending the festival and requested the screening date. However, upon the release of the schedule, my film was not included for some reason. Despite seeking clarification, I received no response from the festival organizers, leaving me completely in the dark about what happened. Horrible.
