I'm so grateful that my film got selected in the festival and it was screened as the World Premiere for public viewing in a great venue. But there were several important problems or disadvantages that we had to go through while managing to screen and attend the festival. The communication for my enquiries were bad as they couldn't give me quick and acceptable responses. Firstly, they were unable to disclose the schedule for too long and we had to wait for days for planning our visit. Secondly, they didn't provide any hospitality for a big event like this, such as travel and accommodation. Most importantly, they couldn't even take my 4K DCP file for screening even though I requested. Meanwhile they asked for an MP4 out which was a low size file and as a filmmaker I could feel the quality issue while watching the screening. Also the coordination and management of the program was mediocre as they were unable to conduct the festival smoothly. For instance, the closing ceremony had many physical and technical difficulties because of their poor management. Overall, the festival was a different experience on how to not conduct a festival. Last minute arrangements and improper communications are the reasons which have led them so down.

Altogether, I'm glad that my film was chosen and it was premiered in a good theatre with a packed crowd. But the experiences that I've witnessed gives an unbalanced dissatisfaction for a World Premiere.

They end up approving mediocre content for their screenings too. Half of the content in the festival screenings are below par in terms of quality. You should have a minimum standard to approve right?

This is my first film festival attending and love the experience.
Felt everything great and really appreciate the work by organizers.
Just the communication part at the festival time could be better, as far with networking I had chance to speak with people, connect with them and share the thoughts outside the venue where I stayed than in the festival itself
