We started in 2018 with a call out to women - what's your story? Since then we have run an annual short story competition and have read over 400 stories written by women from all walks of life since there.

We released our first short film online CLEARWAY (Corona) in 2020.

In 2021 we made Entanglement, a feature film with USA and Australian writers and artists, and created 12 short films. We support a composer in residence creating new Australian music. We publish the Voices of Women podcast.

Our team are experienced writers, film makers, performers and producers.

Artistic Director Lliane Clarke won the NSW Carla Zampatti Arts and Culture Award in 2022 for the Voices of Women program. Our Co-Director Kaye Tuckerman is a sought after director, performer and producer. Our co-director Otgadahe Whitman-Fox is an experienced performer and represents New Mexico Women in Film. Our co-producers and collaborators come from First Nations writing and film organisations and writers who champion diverse voices, including from LGBTQI+ and all communities.
