A short film festival to showcase the best vintage films from around the world in the surroundings of Australia's first notable town, Maldon!

2024 sees the launch of the Maldon Vintage Short Film Festival, affectionately known as Vintage Shorts, a festival inviting filmmakers from around the world to consider the value of something old or vintage, find the beauty in it and to show us that beauty in things, homes, cities, people: all better with age because of their story.

Vintage Shorts is about opening our eyes to the beauty, wisdom, history and experience that comes with age, our wrinkles marking where our smiles have been. It's about the journey from 'age' to 'vintage'.

We can't wait to see how you see 'age', the beauty in 'old' and the value of vintage in life.

Recognition by audience vote for:

1. Best Picture
2. Best Story & Screenplay
3. Best Design

All categories relate to the positive message conveyed about 'age', the beauty in 'old' and the vintage in life. Recognition based on how well the film (in each category) considers and embraces the value of something old or vintage, finds the beauty in it and shows us that beauty in things, homes, cities, people: all better with age because of their story.
