He was part of the LGBT Student League and spoke publicly at “straight talks” which were to educate students about LGBT issues.
After graduating college, he relocated to Pittsburgh,PA and studied the Meisner Technique with Acting Coach Stephen Black from The Talent Group. Knowing he wanted to pursue acting full time, he had the opportunity to perform in such regional theater productions as “Death Defying Acts”, “The Pirates of Penzance”, “Anything Goes”, and “Crimes of the Heart”.
In, 2001, wanting to get more experience in the professional theater community he moved to NYC and stumbled onto stand-up comedy. He has performed at such venues as Caroline’s, Stand-Up New York, Broadway Comedy Club, The Stand, Greenwich Village Comedy Club and most recently the off broadway venue The Triad Theatre.
Vincent has appeared in the feature films “Broadway’s Finest” and “Night Job” (both on Amazon Prime). He also has been on the TV series “Mysteries at the Museum TWICE as "Napoleon Bonaparte" on the Travel Channel; “Street Justice: The Bronx”, and "A Crime to Remember” on the Investigation Discovery Network; and "How 2 Win” on the Oxygen network, He’s also been in the award winning short films “Strings Attached" and "Man-Kind". He is also very proud to be a part of the award winning film “Between the Shades”; a documentary consisting of 50+ people - of all walks of life - who are interviewed about being LGBTQ in today’s society. It has toured in film festivals and won awards around the country. It can now be seen on Amazon, and Itunes.
Vincent is now proud to add ‘Producer’ to his credit. He executive produced a series of short films such as “The Vince Vegina Monologues” (which he also stars and co-wrote), and “Driving Force” which was shown as part of the “African American Films” series on CBS. “The whole producing experience has been eye opening and such a learning experience. It’s like an acting class of it’s own when you see everything from the other side of the table”. His most recent short film “In With Vinny” is also a potential pilot for a series and will be touring film festivals soon.
Vincent also enjoys working out, spending time with family and friends, bowling, going to the theatre. He’s also a huge film buff. As one friend stated - “Vincent is an “encyclopedia of knowledge. - He’s IMDb on legs!”. Learn more about Vincent at www.vincentford.net.
