Village Well Books & Coffee in Culver City, CA is proud to present the inaugural edition of our horror short film festival, Village Hell!

Any and all artists from the greater Los Angeles area are encouraged to submit their work, to be screened in our café with an enthusiastic audience.

Kick off your Halloween celebrations at 6:30pm on Wednesday, October 30, 2024 in the coziest, spookiest venue around!

Awards & Prizes

Winner of the Audience Favorite Award will receive a $100 gift card to Village Well Books & Coffee and the respect of all their peers.

Rules & Terms

Participants must reside in the greater Los Angeles area. All subgenres are welcome, but please do not submit anything that might be considered "extreme."

A panel of booksellers will select screened films from submissions.

Participants understand that this is a public event at a small business, and all films will be screened sequentially in the same room.
