Victor Elijah is a 22-year-old freelance filmmaker and content creator which his body of works offers strong avant-garde visual styles that features unconventional themes and subject matter.
He attended Far Eastern University, graduating with a degree of BA in Communication. Victor has award-winning short films under his belt, earning him recognition at local film festivals.
His works include “My Fat Chance” (2017) bagging the Best Film, Best Screenplay in Precious Hearts Pelikula Film Festival,
“Apo Dios” (2018), a short film about an American war veteran who seeks to find his widowed Filipina wife’s soul which also received Best Film, Best Director, Best Cinematography, Best Editing and Best Sound Design in Sinepiyu Golden Category 2018). Also a finalist in Gawad Alternatibo CCP, Pelikultura: Calabarzon Film Festival and Singkuwento International Film Festival.
“Dimteng Ti Lawag” (2018, dir. Dia Magsaysay), Victor served as an Offline Editor, screened at Manhattan Film Festival, receiving 3rd best film.
His most recent work is “Ngawa” (2019), about a young college couple who is instead celebrating graduation, drives to a remote forest just to bury their aborted child that has been one of the short film grantees of ABSCBN Lights Camera Magic.
He is now under the mentorship of critically acclaimed and award-winning director Mikhail Red.
