The Ukrainian Film Festival in America presents contemporary Ukrainian cinema as a vital expression of the nation’s culture, resilience, and struggle. The program features films produced from 2020 onward, including short films, feature films, documentaries, and animation, showcasing the diversity and creativity of Ukrainian filmmakers.

Cinema is a universal language that connects people and shares stories. In the context of the ongoing war, Ukrainian cinema becomes a crucial cultural voice, representing the courage, perseverance, and identity of the Ukrainian people. This festival supports Ukraine and its artists by giving international audiences a direct experience of Ukrainian culture and the spirit of its people.

The festival will take place in the historic hall under St. Nicholas Church, a space that has served the community for nearly a century as a platform for cultural, educational, and artistic life. This unique location embodies the connection between tradition and contemporary Ukrainian identity.

The Ukrainian Film Festival in America is not just a screening event; it is a cultural statement and a show of solidarity, connecting audiences to Ukraine’s artistic achievements and supporting the nation through the power of film.

  • We were very happy our film Pizza Under Fire was selected for the Ukrainian Film Festival. It was the first year of the festival but they did an excellent job in organisation and communication…and, of course, helping to keep the world’s attention on the catastrophe that is unfolding in this unjust war.
