Bira GF. is Ubirajara Gonçalves Filho. He graduated in Literature and works as an vídeo editor, screenwriter, director and producer.
He also worked as a volunteer teacher in an audiovisual project of the Mesoperiferia social movement, in the north of São Paulo city, where he was born and lives.
In 2012, he wrote and co-directed a short film called Blind Roger, a parody of the film Blade Runner in which teachers must hunt down students who resist school closures. Since 2014, they have been working together to create and produce comic book scripts for the website/digital magazine Água Mole (“Soft Water” in free translation).
At the end of 2019, he founded the production company “Sucata Elétrica” ("Electric Scrap" in free translation) with the aim of creating the necessary special effects for his experimental animation project, which mixes several different techniques, such as photography, filming, 2D and 3D drawings and some practical effects.
Since 2016 he has been producing a series of music videos for the musician Maurício Baraças always experimenting with new languages.
