UKSOPA opens up a door for people of all ages to believe in their dreams and aspirations and to build and empower artists through a diverse, equal, and uplifting platform.
One of UKSOPA's main divisions within the Annual National Event (ANE) is the UKSOPA 1st Annual Film Festival (AFF) which is an online film competition and event taking place in December 2021. All types of filmmakers are invited to submit their work to be considered for the UKSOPA AFF for 2021. All entries close 31st of October 2021.

Social Media Videos (YouTube, TikTok),
and Pitch Projects (TV Pilots, Movie Trailers, Concept Films, or other Pitch Videos)
We also accept films and projects from all genres, of all lengths and also encourage Children Driven Projects, LGBTQ Driven Projects, BAME Driven Projects and Female Driven Projects.
(please note that the UKSOPA Annual Film Festival is different from the UK Annual National Event taking place in 2022 and aimed for performers and artists within the performing arts industry)
Filmmakers from across the world in all sector are invited to share their projects with us. Our panel of professional industry experts and judges will review the submissions based on our specific judging criteria. Each project shortlisted from initial submissions will receive an EXCLUSIVE ACCEPTANCE CERTIFICATE for their project to be screened online in December 2021 to our selected panel of judges and guests.
All projects screening at the UKSOPA 1st Annual Film Festival will then be judges by our top class judges consisting of Film Directors, Producers, Distributors, Celebrities, Industry Experts and Professionals, all attending virtually.
EACH and EVERY PROJECT selected for our 1st Annual Film Festival, will receive a Certificate of Award for being selected for the AFF. The Certificate of Award will be given to projects irregardless of the final outcome and achievement that the project receives during our AFF from our judges.
All projects will be eligible for our MERIT AWARDS and SPECIAL AWARDS which will be granted and announced online during the AFF Online Festival between the 3rd and 5th of December... All announcements will be done virtually and participants will be notified of the winners and prizes electronically via email. All winners will receive their WINNING PACK the week after, which will contain their award certificate and official winning laurel. Winners who won physical prizes such as trophies and awards, will be contacted for arrangements and shipping details OR to collect from our offices in London.
All Merit & Special Awards will be state of the art, exclusive FILM LAUREL which filmmakers can use with pride and joy, including an Award Certificate (electronically). Winners can request a physical printed and framed certificate award at their own expense. Trophy winners will be contacted with more details.

• *Best BAME Project
For the last 4 categories marked with (*) these awards are based on the merit that at least 60% (3 out of 5) of the principal cast and crew where predominantly from such group (Children, LQBTQ / Female etc.)

The amount of awards and prizes given is SUBJECT to the amount of entries received. Not all awards might be applicable during this run should the number of entries be too low.
