Tzetzi Lazarov is a 39-year-old filmmaker, currently based in Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Tzetzi is professionally educated in the arts of drawing and filmmaking and is now a professional short-format video producer. Born as a Bulgarian and immigrated with his parents to the Netherlands, Tzetzi faced many hardships with finding new belonging and acceptance, after leaving behind people he loved. Inspite all this, with the help of his artistic dad, he developed a vision to produce vibrant, heartfelt stories that uplift the human spirit and bring awe and joy to people. At the age of seventeen, he created his first short film, 'A cat's Tail' for which he won twice the first prize at the Kunstbende Film festival in the Netherlands. What followed was three consecutive wins in the years to come, and this was the mark of his film making start. Later, he went on to obtain a prestige Bachelor's degree from the Netherlands Film Academy in Amsterdam. It is here that he found a strong hidden love for traditional animation. After graduating, he went to work for some of the high acclaimed film studios in Europe, finding a bit more of his belonging and acceptance. His inner calling has always been to keep creating funny and yet hopefully romantic films, based on stories that matter. Tzetzi wants to really inspire people, and touch their hearts, with the beauty and honest philosophies within his films. He believes a good film can bring people, from all cultures and all oppositions, together. Tzetzi wants to unite the world. He is hopeful of one day, building his own animation studio in the country of his belonging, and bringing many new jobs to people who also would like to be a part of an inspiration wave, through the art of films.
