Turan Güngör was born in 1981 in Samsun, Turkey. He earned his bachelor's degree in Statistics from Ondokuz Mayıs University in 2004 and completed his master's degree in Business Administration at Sakarya University in 2016. He is currently pursuing his studies as a senior student in the Radio, Television, and Cinema department at Istanbul University.
In 2007, he began his professional career as an SME Consultant by founding KOBİDEM Consulting, where he continues to work.
In October 2021, he directed a short film titled "Tek Başına" (Alone). His short film "Çelik Dede" (Grandpa Çelik), made in December 2022, won the Cüneyt Cebenoyan Special Jury Award at the "8th Camera in Hand, Future in Your Pocket" short film competition organized by the Turkish Capital Markets Association (TSPB). In 2023, he directed a short film titled "Havanne".
Besides cinema, he is interested in psychology, philosophy, and the history of the Republic of Turkey.
