Trúc Mai (aka Miss Trúc) is an actor, filmmaker, and musician born in Long Xuyen, Vietnam, and raised in Honolulu, Hawai’i. In 2016, she moved to New York to pursue her career in filmmaking. Some of her credits in directing, editing, DP, and P.A. work include Voyeurs of 20 Something, Subtext, Mauka to Makai, and Mo’o.
In 2020, she wrote, produced, acted, directed, and edited her first film: Between Paradise, working with two crews from Hawai’i & New York. It won “Best Fiction” at the Marymount Manhattan Student Showcase (2020) and “Best Director” at the Hang onto Your Shorts Film Festival (2021), college division.
