Founded by James Warrack in 1996 at Toronto Metropolitan University, the aim of TorontoMet Film Fest (formerly known as IMAFF and RUFF) is to give students a large scale festival experience and a launching pad into future work in the industry. Held in early May, the TorontoMet Film Fest will take place over one week. Festivities include a red carpet, a gala, an awards ceremony, daytime panels, daytime and nighttime screenings, and an after party.
This year, TorontoMet Film Fest is excited to be continuing our Daytime Programme! We will be accepting film submissions from students across all years who are currently enrolled in the school of Image Arts or RTA School of Media at Toronto Metropolitan University. Filmmakers may submit any short film, not limited to films made for academic credit. We welcome all genres and aim to showcase innovative short films that take advantage of the medium with a strong cinematic voice.
