Tony Sehgal is a documentary filmmaker from the San Francisco Bay Area. His work focuses on telling stories that inspire us to actively participate in the development of a more compassionate and empathetic world. Much of Tony's documentary work addresses issues of environmental and wildlife preservation, animal welfare, and social justice in an effort to create awareness and change in systems of oppression. Tony is a graduate of the Stanford Documentary Film Video Program and works in corporate video production and internet broadcasting.
Tony holds an undergraduate degree in biological sciences from UC Santa Barbara, as well as a master's degree in education. He also holds a master's degree from Stanford University in documentary film production. Tony has worked in field biology, science education, corporate video production, and internet broadcasting. His current work in independent documentary production and photography has allowed him to explore issues of environmental, human, and animal exploitation and oppression in greater depth in hopes that people will become more aware of these pressing issues threatening our global sustainability.
