"Faith and family" takes center stage as a simple wish transforms into a profound spiritual journey for one woman who must choose between her life and her religion in post-war America.
Director's Statement
"Her Life Choice," offers a unique portrayal of my mother's limited options in post-war America, particularly in light of the Catholic Church's condemnation of contraception. By intercutting personal home movies with scripted 16mm scenes, the film establishes a deep connection with the subject matter. This intensely personal work advocates for women navigating difficult decisions in post-war America—challenges that resonate today.
