Born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Tom has two daughters, four grandchildren, and a larger extended family.

Tom dropped out of the Pittsburgh Filmmakers Institute in the early 2000s to take a job 300 miles from home - a detour that lasted two decades. But the idea of making films that mattered never left his imagination. Sometimes you have to go back to go forward. This series is part of that return - a commitment to telling human stories with honesty, texture, and heart.

Tom is also close to completing his first novel for his upcoming world-building fiction series - The Gathering Theory.
