I'm Timm, born and raised in Hanover, and I've had a deep passion for films since my earliest childhood. Although the desire to become a director initially remained a dream, other experiences shaped my youth. After a few years at a boarding school in Heidelberg, I moved via Kiel and Hamburg back to my hometown of Hanover. There, I began studying art, during which I initially discovered photography and also worked in television.
From Stills to Motion
Gradually, my interest shifted from still to moving images. In 2016, I finally gave up photography and established myself as a cameraman for various television entertainment shows. In 2019, I took the decisive step towards my lifelong dream: fictional film.
Award-Winning Director of Photography
With growing experience in exciting projects, my position solidified. Today, I work as a Director of Photography (DoP) in diverse film and television formats, which have recently received recognition through awards such as the Berlin Indie Film Prize, the Lower Saxony Media Award, and the renowned Grimme Prize.
