Tim Humphries is an award-recognized Australian screenwriter and literary book reviewer whose projects spans animation, comedy-drama, and genre storytelling. A 2025/26 recipient of the Moreton Bay City RADF Continue Creating Grant, Tim has earned international recognition with multiple festival selections, including finalist and nominee placements at the Cambridge Script Festival, Tokyo Film and Script Awards, Moscow Indie Film Festival, and AFIN International Film Festival for projects such as Monster in the Toilet and Escape from Gulag Island. His creative work blends sharp wit, human-centred drama, and bold conceptual worlds, reflecting a distinct voice grounded in both entertainment and thematic depth.
Tim is currently developing an expansive slate of original projects, including the futuristic animated series Goanna 5, the period comedy Hoane, the comedy-drama Showrunner, the character-driven drama The Club, the action feature 78 Minutes, and the comic-book-inspired series Magna Girl. As a creator and writer across all titles, he is committed to inclusive storytelling, with a strong focus on Indigenous and multicultural representation. Tim has also strengthened his industry expertise through Screen Queensland’s Distribution, Exhibition & Sales short course.
