Timothy James Firtion was born on September 27, 1993 in Belleville, New Jersey, USA. A passionate storyteller and avid movie buff growing up, he got his start in filmmaking in 2009 when he enrolled in the video technology program at Sussex County Technical School in Sparta, New Jersey. In 2011, he completed his first short film, entitled "Ronald". The short told the story of young teen seeking vengeance against his brother's killers. The short was selected for the quarter-finalist competition for the NexTV Entertainment Festival in 2011. Tim went on to major in Fine Arts at Sussex County Community College and graduated with an Associates' degree in 2014. In 2013, Tim completed his first feature, entitled "Duo". Made on a shoe-string budget and limited resources, the film told the story of a disgraced boxer on the run from various criminals who want him dead. The film was screened at Sussex Community College and won several awards, including Best Director, Screenplay, and Editing. In 2015, Tim made a twenty minute thesis film called "Unhinged". The short told the story of a drug dealer's moral dilemma when roped into a sex trafficking scheme. In 2016, Tim decided to turn his feature film script into a web series, eventually calling it "The Jersey Connection". A crowdfunding campaign was launched on GoFundMe in February 2017, in which $800.00 was raised. Through dedication and perseverance, the budget was raised to $3,000. Tacking the roles of series creator, producer, writer, director, cinematographer, editor and star actor, Tim completed the first season of "The Jersey Connection" in 2018. Since then, the series has garnered much acclaim on the international web series circuit and won many industry award including Best Drama, Best Suspense Thriller, Best of Show, Best Crime Short, and Best Director in a Crime Short. Legendary actor Peter Greene joined the cast for Season 2, which is currently in development.
