Purpose:

The L.O.V.E Coalition organization is a LGBTQ non-profit organization, which is
geared towards addressing social, civic and economic inequalities within the community
affecting LGBTQ individuals, and particular those of color.

Through Our Lenses Art & Social Equity Series, the L.O.V.E Coalition proposes to create a
productive platform within the community in an effort to discuss social issues to
include-
racial, economic, gender and sexual orientation injustices and inequalities
plagued by Black and Brown people of the LGBTQ community.

In a creative attempt, the L.O.V.E Coalition will use the arts as a creative medium to
address these social inequities.

Through Our Lenses Art & Social Equity Series will utilize
the vehicle of Short Films to delicately, yet openly to approach these social issues listed
above.

The series will comprise of two separate events held at the Players by The Sea.
Gardens, which will comprise of a community partners, content creators and film makers leading dialogues on the topics followed by the Short Film.

DURATION

For a short film competition and documentaries, the minimum time is 20 minutes, and the maximum is 25 minutes.

PRODUCTION COMPLETION DATE

All short films and documentaries should have been filmed and produced with in a year leading up to this Film Event.

FORMAT

All submissions should be shot in a MPEG4 format or AVI format.
Digital format is required. However, Blue-ray, DVD, or HD-CAM format will not be accepted.

RIGHTS & CLEARANCE

Copyright rules are important when entering a short film competition. Rules and regulations may vary as to the extent. Upon entering this event, all content creators will be expected provide evidence of copyright clearance.

As a content creator, it is your responsibility to do your own due diligence in acquiring the permissions, and appropriate rights licenses to any copyrighted content that you’ve used during the course of producing your short film or documentary.

SUPPLYING PROOF
You should prepare to prove that you have the right to any music, songs, script, or trademark elements that you utilize in your production.

ORIGINAL CONTENT

It should go without saying that only original content should be submitted to a short film and documentaries competition.

All content creators will be required to sign a waiver that their content is original.
