Third Order Island
An island in a lake, on an island in a lake, on an island – this isn't just a brain teaser but also the ultimate destination for Joshua, Sebastian, and Mario. Their extraordinary goal lies north of Canada on Victoria Island: home to the world's largest Third Order Island. Together, the three friends set out to determine whether this mysterious island truly exists or is merely a viral phenomenon from the internet.
Their journey is anything but smooth. Covering nearly 180 kilometers on foot and by packraft, they rely entirely on their own strength. Heavy-laden pilgrimage carts often succumb to the unforgiving terrain, which is marshy, riddled with holes, and tangled with underbrush. Endless horizons, a near-treeless tundra, harsh and ever-changing weather, and the uncertainty of encounters with polar bears, grizzlies, wolves, musk oxen, or caribou turn the 18-day expedition into a one-of-a-kind adventure.
