The Portland Maine Comedy Festival is not only the largest annual comedy event in New England, but one of the premiere comedy festivals in the entire country. This year is our 10th anniversary and we're amping up the laughs by adding screenings of the FUNNIEST films submitted by YOU!

Each year, we feature some of the best up-and-coming standup comics, sketch comedy teams, and improv groups from all across the country alongside regional, touring, and nationally recognized headliners for one incredible weekend of comedy. This year, we are taking it up a notch by adding film screenings to the fest!

We will screen a select number of films in the categories of: sketch comedy, animated shorts, and live action shorts. We we screen each selection at least once during the fest. Winners will be chosen foe each category!

Since this is the first year we're adding film to our fest, please be patient if we forgot something! Rules & Terms

- All films under 20 minutes are eligible for this festival
-By submitting, you agree to allow us to use certain elements of your film (including the trailer, pre-trailer, movie poster, and images) for promotional purposes.
-Submission fees are non-refundable.
-Filmmakers may submit multiple entries, and each entry can be submitted to multiple categories.
-Submissions are judged by a volunteer crew of local comics, producers, and festival organizers. We will let all entrants know of their acceptance status shortly after each deadline
-Submissions must be in English or with English subtitles
-Multiple entries are welcome, and each entry in different submission categories requires its own submission fee.
