🎬 The Oskis: A Celebration of Bay Area Student Storytelling 🌟

CalTV is proud to bring back The Oskis, our version of the Oscars taking place on April 23, 2026! This event is made to honor the incredible artistry and creativity of student filmmakers in the Bay Area like yourselves. As a leading media organization, we believe in shining a spotlight on the diverse voices that make up the vibrant film community. The Oskis is more than just an awards show – it’s a platform for connection, inspiration, and recognition.

Why Participate?
1. Recognition: Have your film featured on the big stage and be celebrated by fellow students, faculty, and film enthusiasts.
2. Networking: Connect with other filmmakers, creators, and storytellers in a supportive and collaborative atmosphere.

Rules & Terms

*You must have at least one individual on the project be affiliated with a bay area institution -- could be actor, crew member, alumni, producer, sky's the limit!

*By submitting your film to The Oskis, you are automatically considered for the category in which you chose.

*CalTV affiliated productions are not allowed, as we want to recognize the student body's independent projects. If you are planning on submitting it, please feel free to have more than one film submission ready for more than one category!

*We completely acknowledge the fact that given the duration of the event, we won't be able to screen every nominee, rather only the project that wins. Because of this, after The Oskis, we will be creating an online portal compiled of all the submissions so that way everyone can enjoy everyone's hard work. We will make sure to additionally acknowledge this in our opening of the ceremony.
