Introducing a new festival for filmmakers... by filmmakers! We are passionate about our cinema and yours! We want you to succeed in your film and poetic endeavors and invite you to submit your short films.

Each evening from 10-11:30pm, 7 days a week, 365 days a year, our screen hosts an International Film Festival. Enter your short film for consideration. Upon acceptance, your passion project will play multiple times weekly, through the end of the film festival.

Our venue, The Mini Melba Cinema, is a brand-new, one-of-a-kind theater located in the heart of Historic Downtown Guthrie. Oklahoma is a thriving movie scene with recent films such as Killers Of The Flower Moon, Stillwater, and the bio-pic Reagan. Guthrie is considered the "Hollywood" of Oklahoma with its variety of terrain, large tourist industry, Victorian district, Hallmark town feel, and artsy vibes.

The Mini Melba Cinema is an outdoor movie screen in a highly visible space - prominent to pedestrians and Downtown Guthrie traffic alike. This new and unique feature attracts residents and visitors. Our theater is open to the public for free, 24 hours per day.

The screen presents advertisements of local and regional artisans, products, places, events, and services, as well as classic feature films, short films, documentaries, classic TV shows, cartoons, clips of movies filmed here in Guthrie, original productions…and so much more! Accepted FilmFreeway filmmakers receive a 15% discount on advertising with The Mini Melba Cinema.

We are excited to bring The Mini Melba Cinema and the Film Festival to the Guthrie community and you! Follow us on Instagram and Facebook.
