Now entering its inaugural year, The Lie Feed Film Festival is a bold new platform dedicated to truth-driven filmmaking that challenges illusion, distortion, and the false perfection of modern digital culture.
Founded by the team behind MythBusters: Digital Take Back (funded by Arts Council England), the festival brings together filmmakers, activists, and storytellers who use cinema to expose hidden realities, question perception, and awaken awareness.
The Lie Feed welcomes short films up to 30 minutes in all genres including drama, documentary, experimental, animation, horror, poetic work, micro-shorts, and smartphone films as long as they explore one or more of the following themes:
Social media vs reality
Digital myths and illusions
Mental health and identity
Truth, lies, and human vulnerability
The stories that make us human
The 2025 Lie Feed Film Festival will screen selected films at Lock Works Cinema in Wolverhampton, followed by a filmmaker networking session and promotional features across our platforms.
Our mission is to create a space where filmmakers can showcase their work, learn from one another, and contribute to a wider movement of digital honesty and social impact storytelling.
