The Innovators Film Festival, hosted by Loyola Marymount University, is an international platform that celebrates the future of filmmaking through the integration of artificial intelligence and technology. Open to students, independent filmmakers, and life-long learners worldwide, the festival aims to inspire a new wave of creators who are pushing the boundaries of storytelling with cutting-edge tools. Films do not need to be entirely AI-generated but must incorporate at least one AI-driven element in the creative or production process. If you leverage technology to enhance your storytelling, you qualify.

Location: Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles, CA

Named one of the Top Five Film Schools in the country by The Hollywood Reporter, LMU is the perfect backdrop for this groundbreaking festival, which showcases the next generation of creative talent. This year’s festival welcomes short films (1-10 minutes) with at least one element of AI involved in the production, whether it’s in the writing, post-production, or visual effects. While AI is a central focus, the festival encourages submissions across all genres and styles that emphasize creativity, innovation, and bold storytelling.

With a strong focus on community and collaboration, the festival will feature panel discussions, workshops, and guest speakers from leading names in the film and tech industries, alongside film screenings that showcase the most groundbreaking work from emerging filmmakers.

  • This was one of the best communicated festivals I've participated at. Being in London, I couldn't attend the festival itself, which is the case with most of the festivals my films got selected for, but the team behind the Innovators Film Festival were excellent at communication, support online and more. I would definitely participate again!

  • Just got back from The Innovators Film Fest and it was easily one of the best I've attended. Loved the SETL wellness installation, the Google Veo 2 activation was awesome, and the AI films were a fantastic selection. Big thanks to the fest for putting on such a great event!

What an incredibly fascinating experience! The two-day workshop was exceptionally well-organized. I feel like I gained so much valuable insight into the fascinating world of AI. I'm truly thrilled to have received the Audience Choice Award - thank you all for appreciating my film! The festival allowed me to connect with numerous tech professionals while being profoundly inspired by the exceptional AI-generated films showcased. I never imagined AI-created films could achieve such remarkable realism already.
