Your submission must either be directed by, staring or written by someone Welsh. Films can be spoken in both Welsh & English.

Only a selection of submissions will be chosen to be shown during the event, but all winning submissions will be posted on our website, where the audience will be encouraged to watch. Promotion to social media links, and additional content will be printed onto the festival programme.

To submit your project, it is always better to get in early as that is our lowest submission fee. Starting at £15 an entry. The submission fee will increase the closer we get to the film festival.

The festival will be free to attend and will be over 3 hours on the 8th August. We will begin the evening with a 30 minute viewing of a collection of stellar submissions in the Newbridge Memo Theatre. We will then proceed to make our way down into the Ballroom where we will be greeted by some live music and a bar, where refreshments will be available and guests can mingle. At 8pm, after a short introduction, we will begin the award ceremony. We encourage all nominated projects to be able to attend, as it will be a wonderful night to network with fellow creatives. After the awards, we will finish of the night with some more live entertainment. A photographer will be on hand to document the festival.

Winners of these awards will be presented with a trophy on the night, plus they will be featured in Audio Avenue magazine after the awards.

Rules & Terms

If your film is chosen for screening, we will send you an acceptance email and request a digital transfer of your entry. The file must be received by the date stated in the acceptance email, or your film will not be screened.


Submission Format - Films must be submitted via MP4/MOV.

Submission Eligibility:
- WELSH FILMS/SHORTS/MUSIC VIDEOS ONLY
Your submission must either be directed by, staring or written by someone Welsh. Films can be spoken in both Welsh & English.
- Submissions can be from ANY YEAR.

- All films not in the English language are required to have English subtitles.

- We will only accept films under 120 minutes.

The Celynen Film Festival’s decision is final, and we cannot enter into a discussion about films not accepted. Currently, we do not offer feedback on any projects or decisions made regarding judging.

Not all successful applicants will be selected for screening, however, ALL successful applicants will be presented with a TCFF Laurel Award and accepted projects will be available to view online.

Submission Fee 

- All FilmFreeway submissions for The Celynen Film Festival are to be paid by credit card or PayPal. The submission fee is non-refundable.
    
By submitting to The Celynen Film Festival (TCFF) I confirm that I have read and accept the terms and regulations of TCFF and I will provide the festival with any additional information required pursuant to these rules and regulations. I authorise TCFF to exhibit my film, and if selected, I confirm that an exhibition copy will be available in a required format for screening during the 2026 festival.
I certify that I hold all necessary rights for the submission of this film/video to TCFF and that all rights and clearances have been made. This film is not subject to any litigation nor is threatened by any litigation. I hold TCFF harmless from damage to, or loss of any or all materials en route to, from or otherwise at the festival. I assume all legal responsibilities therein.

By agreeing to these terms, I transfer to TCFF the right to use excerpts of the submitted film, its stills, and trailers, for the purposes of publicity and marketing of the film at the 2026 festival, and for other non-commercial uses related to the promotion of the 2026 festival. I hereby agree to indemnify TCFF in the event that such rights have not been properly transferred.
