As an Indian Art Director and Production Designer, my creative journey spans over two decades across the dynamic realms of advertising, cinema, and digital storytelling. With deep roots in scenic and production design, I’ve crafted over 500 television commercials, numerous feature films, and acclaimed web series—each a canvas for my imagination, precision, and visual storytelling.
Grounded in a Bachelor of Fine Arts from a renowned government arts college in Kolkata, I blend classical artistry with contemporary narrative sensibilities. As a proud member of the International Alliance of Theatrical Stage Employees (IATSE) in the USA, my work transcends borders, bridging cultures through design and visual language.
My journey began in 2005, when I stepped into Mumbai with little more than a sketchbook, an unshakable dream, and a hunger to create. The early days were raw, defined by relentless hustle, fleeting gigs, and a constant quest to break through. But with every project, my vision deepened, my craft refined.
In 2010, a pivotal moment arrived: I was invited to collaborate with the celebrated American Production Designer Patricia Christie on the international television series House of Versace. That experience not only expanded my creative vocabulary but also unlocked a global perspective that continues to influence my design philosophy today.
Returning to Mumbai with renewed clarity and ambition, I began taking on large-scale productions as an independent Art Director. For me, a set is never just a backdrop—it’s a character in the story, sculpted with purpose, layered with emotion, and alive with meaning.
From brushstrokes to CAD tools, from studio floors in India to soundstages abroad—my creative evolution has been one of constant reinvention. I see myself not just as a designer, but as a visual poet—telling stories through textures, light, space, and soul. And with every frame I help build, I aim to leave behind a visual legacy that speaks beyond the screen.
