Thabiso is a Director-Screenwriter-Producer dealing with themes of family, identity, social division.
Thabiso's filmmaking style is Realist New Wave, with elements of minimalism and allegory (philosophical and spiritual).
He is most influenced by Mexican New Wave (Nuevo Cine Mexicano), French New Wave and New Hollywood Wave of Cinema.
After finishing a dynamic career in Structural Engineering, Thabiso earned his start in the Film industry through creating The Turning Son (2019), an award-winning and SABC 1-broadcasted short film produced through the NFVF Youth Filmmakers Project.
Since then, he’s written several produced feature films, including Rage of a Lioness, now on Showmax, line produced for films such as Nandi (2021), and is working on financing and directing a slate of new feature films, with many more being developed thanks to his deep obsession with Cinema.
