Important: We are only accepting films that exist as physical 16mm prints. Please do NOT submit films that only exist digitally.

A single evening, two hour, 16mm film-on-film screening for boundary pushing short experimental and documentary works. Ideally looking for work under 20 minutes but please submit longer works if you think they would fit our programming.

Filmmakers whose work we like (among many others): Kevin Jerome Everson, Will Hindle, Deborah Stratman, James Benning, Bill Brown, Tomonari Nishikawa, George Kuchar, Jodie Mack, Lark Lyra Lou Hill, John Smith, Nathaniel Dorsky, Daichi Saito, Rankin Renwick. If none of these names ring a bell, then you may be in the wrong place.

Honorariums will be paid to all filmmakers after all festival expenses are covered.

You must have a 16mm print of your film for it to be exhibited. No digital files will be shown. Your film can be shot on any format as long as you have a 16mm print to show. If accepted, we will reach out to verify that you have a print.

Chicago and Illinois filmmakers please email for a waiver, if needed. We love supporting our community.

Filmmakers will be expected to mail a print approximately 3 weeks before the screening. Filmmakers will cover the shipping fee to the festival and the festival will cover return shipping.
