Terry is a screenwriter drawn to stories about people on the edge—of survival, redemption, and doing the right thing when it may already be too late. His work spans gritty Westerns and grounded dramas, exploring the cost of justice and the weight of mercy.
His Western screenplay Fool’s Silver won Best Feature at the Wild Bunch Film Festival in 2024 and was later awarded Best Overall Screenplay of 2024 at the festival’s 10th Anniversary in 2025. His scripts 7 Bullets and A Fistful of Christmas were finalists at the Cowpokes International Film Festival, his high school football drama End Over End placed third at the 17th Annual StoryPros Awards Screenplay Contest, and his feature The Last Resort was a quarterfinalist at the 2025 Los Angeles International Screenplay Awards and a finalist at the 2026 Sunny Side Up Film Festival.
He is currently developing multiple original features, including Where Thunder Walks, a frontier story of a peaceful Miwok village, encroaching soldiers, and the miner who finds himself between them, and Lonely Man, a grounded drama in which a high school student assigned to interview an isolated old man uncovers something far more complex—and unsettling—than she expected.
