Terek M. Young is a Philadelphia-based filmmaker and screenwriter whose storytelling is driven by deep character exploration and authentic performances. In 2022, he co-founded YaH Vision Productions with his wife, Dr. Psyche D. Young, with the mission to create films that resonate emotionally and intellectually. A proud graduate of Temple University’s School of Theatre, Film, and Media Arts, Terek earned his BFA in Directing in 2024, and his thesis film, Father Forgive Me for I Have Sinned, is streaming on multiple platforms.
Transitioning from an actor to a director, Terek brings hands-on on-set experience that enriches his collaborative process and enhances actor performances. His background includes three years of seminary training at Nyack College Alliance Theological Seminary and active involvement in Christian ministry from a young age. While his faith shapes his worldview and working ethos, Terek's films embrace a wide array of themes that appeal to diverse audiences, showcasing his versatility as a storyteller.
Dedicated to inspiring fellow filmmakers, Terek continues to cultivate impactful projects through YaH Vision Productions. He and Dr. Young have been married since 2007, sharing a life committed to creativity and storytelling.
