Tej Sisodia is a screenwriter & independent filmmaker based Mumbai, India. Born and raised in a small village in North India, his life journey inspired him to write stories about his experiences and observations about rural and urban India.
A self-taught screenplay writer, he wrote and directed his first short film RAAKH, which was selected and received overwhelming responses at many film festivals. He wrote the short film MUNNA KA BACHPAN that was released on Jio cinema. He last wrote and directed a short film AVNI. The film had its world premiere at the 25th Santa Fe film festival in Feb 2025.
He is currently working on a short film about the impact of climate change, focusing primarily on heatwaves, on working-class people in small towns of India.
The sensitivity of human emotions is the driving force for him as a storyteller.
The ephemeral nature of our humanity continues to inspire him to create stories of simple people in a world complicated by the human condition.
