Tefkros Sakellaropoulos was born in Nicosia, Cyprus in 1963. He comes from a multicultural background. He studied as a Civil Engineer in Greece and went on with his post-graduate studies in the United States of America. He got a scholarship for all his studies (in Greece he graduated first among the ranking of his fellow students).
From 1990 until 2020 he worked in architectural design and buildings’ construction in his own, personal business. His main interest concerned detached residencies made of reinforced concrete and natural materials (like stone) which have an ecological footprint, and he also restored preserved buildings (usually manors of great architectural value).
From 2009 onwards he has owned a journalistic website https://teucris.net/ which deals with a variety of issues like architecture, constructions, political analyses and the filming industry. He is the only author and editor of the original articles presented in the site.
In 2020 he decided to get exclusively involved with the filming industry sector, which has been among his basic interest from a very young age. Since 2001 he has been engaged with the creation of professional films for his colleagues about the various forms of construction and the management of certain works. He has not attended courses concerning the art of cinema.
In 2014 he produced his first feature film entitled “The 3 Moirai”, in which he examines the way a person can change their fate. In the process, he continued filming and creating documentaries which put humans in the centre and have an original subject matter.
His style follows the conceptual cinematography (visualizing concepts rather than describing them), and, when he has grasped the idea of his subject matter, he is the author of the narratives or the scripts, and he is responsible for directing, processing and editing his films to the last detail.
