The Taglia Corti – International Short Movie and Music Video Festival is one of the most dynamic and significant cultural events in Trieste, Italy, dedicated to celebrating the art of short-form storytelling and the power of music in cinema. Since its inception, the festival has carved out a unique space in the international film calendar, bringing together filmmakers, musicians, and audiences to experience innovative works that push creative boundaries.
With a strong emphasis on short films and music videos, Taglia Corti offers a platform for emerging and established directors from around the world to showcase their talent. We welcome submissions across all genres—from narrative fiction and documentary to animation and experimental cinema—as long as they deliver a compelling story and a memorable cinematic experience.
While we celebrate films of every style and theme, Taglia Corti holds a special appreciation for works that integrate music in powerful ways. Whether through a brilliant original soundtrack, bold use of sound design, or visual storytelling driven by rhythm and melody, films that embrace the relationship between moving image and music resonate strongly with the spirit of the festival.
Beyond screenings, Taglia Corti is a meeting point for creative exchange, offering Q&A sessions, workshops, and networking opportunities in the vibrant city of Trieste—a crossroads of cultures and ideas. The festival not only rewards artistic excellence through its competitive sections but also encourages dialogue between filmmakers and audiences, strengthening the role of short films and music videos within the broader cinematic landscape.
Directors from all over the world are invited to submit their works and join us in Trieste for an event that celebrates diversity, creativity, and the timeless bond between film and music.
