Sylvia is a first generation American filmmaker from a Cuban mother and German-Jewish father the diversity of her family is reflected in the wide range of projects she works on. She won 2 Emmy’s for her unscripted series ("Samantha Brown’s Places To Love" & "Great Hotels") and has directed 2 award winning feature documentaries "Rick Springfield: An Affair of the Heart," and "Tanzania: A Journey Within." She just completed her narrative directorial debut with the thriller, "Follow Her," starring Luke Cook, Mark Moses and Dani Barker. She began her career producing indie features out of NYC and is actively producing features through her production company, DolGer Films.
DolGer Films, was the U.S. production company for the Harvey Keitel film, "Chosen" and among others produced "Aftermath," "Love N’ Dancing," "Grace," "Breaking Point" and "Dutch Book." Sylvia also produced "Blue Moon," "The Deli" and "Men Lie" for NYC indie director John Gallagher.
