22-year-old filmmaker.
Sunny Keller, who recently graduated with a Global BFA in Film from Emerson College and Paris College of Art, is a filmmaker with a passion for animation. In 2018, she began her early experimentations with puppet making and stop motion animation with “Happy Place Labs” - a dystopian melancholic short that confronts grief with satire. Her 2022 micro short “Dead Bird” is a testament to her position as a storyteller with a childlike sensibility and her commitment to the craft, shared with international audiences through festivals in the U.S., Belgium, and Germany. Her newest film, “City Bird” is her most ambitious stop-motion endeavor yet. The dark comedy following a traumatized pigeon in the city premiered in Summer 2024 at the Paramount Theater in Boston, MA.
