"This is one of the few festivals that actually likes filmmakers, unlike most that just screen your film and kick you out right after. I highly recommend this festival to the locals, had a lot of fun last year, great venue and organizers, with a great host."
- Vlad Nikitin, Director, 'Grand Chinatown Robbery'

Our mission at the Studio City International Film Festival is to present cutting-edge films that will entertain, provoke, and inform it's audience members.

All genres are welcome. We wish to encourage all cultures and ethnicities. It is our firm belief that the arts are a unifying force that serve to bridge all cultural and ethnic gaps.

Special consideration is given to films that emphasize the art of storytelling.

And this year, we have a special NEW category: - QUARANTINE SHORTS! Awards will be given for Best Quarantine Comedy Short and Best Quarantine Dramatic Short. Only requirement is that it must be shot in your quarantine environment using available talent and equipment at hand.

Why you should submit your film to the Studio City festival:

1. Because we are situated in the heart of the entertainment industry, each year the festival features a number of distributors and celebrities.

2. We make it fun and memorable for the filmmakers. We give a lot of personal attention to all the filmmakers.

3. We also have networking events in the bar and lounge of the theater, so there is ample opportunity to network.

4. We will have filmmaker Q&As after every film block, workshops and panel discussions .
5. This is a fun, festival party atmosphere, and we even provide live entertainment.

Great film festival! It was well run and everyone was very hospitable and welcoming! I couldn't stay because I had a raging sinus infection but my producers loved the film festival. Hope we will get in when I'm done with my next film and I can enjoy it more fully!

From the “IS YOU IS” team,

There are very few film festivals with "heart". And in Los Angeles there are a number of festivals in town that are clamoring for your attention. But from the opening night party, where we all got up and danced, to the closing ceremonies, we just felt connected to the Studio City Film Festival. Accessibility to other actors and filmmakers, the excellent venues and packed screenings, all added to a positive festival experience. Steve and his team made sure that everyone felt welcome.

As filmmakers and performers always creating, we saw that the Studio City Film Festival is a place you can feel not only welcome, but appreciated, surrounded by other amazing people creating excellent work. It was a “Stone Cold Groove” and we look forward to coming back year after year.
